STEP 1: DEGREASE
Using Airolube Chain Oil? Start with a clean, grease-free chain. Use a degreaser like Airolube Heavy Duty Degreaser or Airolube Ultimate Chain Cleaner to thoroughly remove dirt and old lubricants. Rinse the chain well with water and dry it with a clean, dry cloth.
STEP 2: APPLY CHAIN OIL
Apply Airolube Chain Oil drop by drop between the links of your dry chain. A small amount per link is sufficient. Allow the oil to sit for a minute to penetrate deeply into the links.
STEP 3: FINISH
After the oil has had time to absorb, wipe off any excess oil from the outer surface of the chain using a dry cloth. This leaves only the lubrication and protection needed while preventing dirt from building up during your rides.
